Fun with colors

I thought that it would be fun to let Taylie experiment with coloring. Since I was lacking crayons, I decided that markers couldn't be too bad. It actually went quite well until ran (literally ran!!!) to get the camera (not even one room away) and came back to her coloring on her leg. She did a very good job on the washable pad there, but I guess the temptation was too strong. It is a good idea to make sure that you have everything you need before starting an art project because it can take a turn in no time.

Hmm...I just noticed that she got the bottom of her feet too....

I figured that since she had already started, what was the harm in letting her finish?.....

Don't worry....Grandma Brooks bought us some crayons. Thanks Grandma!

What was the harm in letting her finish right? That was what I thought until I tried to wash it off. Apparently my Crayola markers are not the "washable" kind. It took a couple of days to completely get her clean.

I'm so glad you left a comment on our blog so I could get to yours. What a cute little girl you have and congratulations on baby #2! That is wonderful news. I had to laugh at the marker incident....kids are so fast even when you run to the other room and back.

hey Malisa! So fun to hear from you, your blog is so cute. I can't believe how fast Taylie has grown, she is so cute! And Congrats to you!!! That was kind of the first time we really made it public that we were prego, I was nervous about things going wrong, so just wanted to wait until our second doc apt to make sure everything looked good. WE are do Nov 7!!! How fun!

It is so cute that she colored all over herself, cute, cuz she's not my child. They always seem to find that most undesirable thing to do sometimes, huh? When my kids color with markers on themselves, I put bubbles in the bath, an extra dose, and just let them play until the water is starting to cool, usually that at least fades it, if not gets rid of it completely.
